Suspect Charged in Vice President’s Ohio Home Vandalization

A Cincinnati man faces federal charges for allegedly vandalizing Vice President JD Vance’s house in the same city just after midnight on Monday.

William DeFoor, 26, was charged via a criminal complaint in the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio with causing damage to government property, knowingly engaging in an act of violence against a person or property on restricted grounds, and assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers. Vance said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he and his family were in Washington, DC when a “crazy person” tried to break in.
