‘Survivor’ Winner Fails to Restore Passport Amid Tax Dispute

The first winner of the game show “Survivor” failed to get a court order requiring the federal government to renew his passport amid a long-running legal fight over the nearly $3 million he owes the IRS.

Although Richard Hatch Jr. argues he’s been subjected to systemic judicial abuse and prosecutorial overreach, he “cites no authority for this Court, in this case, to overturn a certification of a seriously delinquent tax debt,” Chief Judge John J. McConnell Jr. of the US District Court for the District of Rhode Island said in a Monday order.
