Sunbeam Products Inc. was accused of alleged defects in its recalled Oster-brand French Door Countertop Ovens in a dispute claiming the burn hazards due to sudden closing doors.
Sunbeam sold about 1.29 million defective ovens between August 2015 and July 2025 despite knowing about the safety issue, a proposed class alleged in a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The company’s accused of violating the Florida Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act and common law barring unjust enrichment.
