A federal judge on Tuesday ruled against a woman who sued three judges and said two suburban Detroit courts have unconstitutional policies on the release of audio and video recordings of proceedings.
Judge Brandy R. McMillion, as she dismissed a lawsuit against judges in the 52nd District Court in Oakland County and the Oakland Circuit Court, disagreed with Samantha Hallman’s claim that Michigan courts must make both proceedings and records “open and available to the public.”
