Student Debit Card Issuer Says College App Infringing Trademark

A company specializing in helping to build college students’ credit scores through a debit card is suing an anonymous social media platform for using a confusingly similar mark to target the same consumers.

Shouldertap Technologies Inc—doing business as Fizz—sued Fizz Social Corp. in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania for trademark infringement arising from using a nearly identical mark offered to an identical population of consumers.
