Stericycle Allegedly Docked Driver Time for Breaks Not Taken (1)

Stericycle Inc. automatically deducted meal breaks from drivers’ daily time even when they continued working during those time periods, a new suit alleges in federal court in Illinois.

The waste disposal company’s “regular practice” is to deduct a 30-minute meal period each day even though its drivers regularly skipped their breaks and worked off-the-clock, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
