State Department Trims Engineer’s ‘Havana Syndrome’ Bias Suit

The U.S. State Department convinced a federal judge in Virginia to narrow a disability bias suit brought by an engineer who allegedly contracted Havana Syndrome while stationed in China.

Mark Lenzi failed to plausibly allege that his “generalized complaints to supervisors about assignments and disclosures” prompted retaliation, Judge Patricia Tolliver Giles of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia said Thursday in dismissing that aspect of his claim.
