Figma Inc. convinced a federal court that a proposed class plaintiff who sued the design application developer for allegedly using his intellectual property to train its generative artificial intelligence models without permission must arbitrate his claims.
Raza Khan, who described himself as a successful investor and startup founder, agreed to Figma’s terms of service, which delegated to the arbitrator the question whether their dispute was arbitrable,, Judge Charles R. Breyer said for the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
