Sprout Foods Gets Baby Food Nutrient False-Ad Lawsuit Narrowed

Sprout Foods Inc. got claims trimmed, for now, in a proposed class action alleging it misleads parents about the health benefits of baby and toddler foods, after a federal judge in California said a couple failed to sufficiently allege that consumers would be fooled by the labels.

Gillian and Samuel Davidson challenged front-label statements touting the nutrients included in Sprout products, such as “3g of Protein” or “4g of Fiber.”
