Specialty Networks LLC is facing three proposed federal class actions alleging it failed to protect thousands of people’s personal information that was exposed in a December 2023 data breach.
Plaintiffs in the separate lawsuits allege that Specialty Networks breached its duties under common law, contract, and industry standards to implement reasonable measures to protect sensitive data, and failed to comply with the data-security requirements of the Federal Trade Commission Act or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
