Spacelabs Healthcare LLC has agreed to pay $2.5 million to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by overcharging the United States for patient monitoring equipment sold to the VA and the Defense Department, the DOJ said Monday.

Spacelabs allegedly didn’t follow the Price Reductions Clause from 2014 to 2019 in a VA contract requiring the company to provide the government with certain lower prices offered to another customer, according to the Justice Department.

The department said the company also allegedly didn’t follow a related clause in a Defense Logistics Agency contract.
