Southwest Pilots Can Revise Contract Claims Against Boeing

Southwest Airlines pilots have another chance to show Boeing Co. induced them into a collective bargaining agreement with misrepresentations about the 737 MAX airliner, a Texas Business Court judge said.

The labor union for the 8,000 pilots must fix their flawed petition by June 19 or Boeing could be looking at a pretrial win, Judge Andrea Bouressa said.

If the do-over again fails to state a valid grievance, Boeing’s request for a summary judgment win would be appropriate, the Dallas judge said in the June 9 opinion.
