SoundCloud failed to properly secure and safeguard user data in a December 2025 breach that allegedly exposed the sensitive information of about 20% of its user base, according to a new complaint.
Alexander Merkel said the breach included names, usernames, geographic locations, and profile statistics, in a lawsuit filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
