A Texas federal jury found for a pair of Sonic Drive-In restaurants in Texas on claims by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that seven female employees, including teenagers, were subjected to sexual harassment by a male supervisor.
The EEOC failed to prove that Leston Juarez harassed the women because of their sex, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas said Wednesday. SDI of Mineola, Texas, LLC and SDI of Whitehouse, Texas, LLC also weren’t shown to have constructively discharged two of the women in retaliation for complaining about the harassment, the jury said.
