Two pro-Palestine student groups have walked away from their federal claims against Texas university leaders alleging free speech violations.
Students for Justice in Palestine at both University of Texas at Dallas and University of Houston dismissed all claims with prejudice, a filing submitted Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas shows.
The groups’ lawyers with CAIR Legal Defense Fund didn’t give a reason for the dismissal in court records. The dismissal was also signed by Cole Wilson, a Texas attorney general lawyer representing the university leader defendants.
