SoClean Evades Some Philips Claims in CPAP Deceptive Ad Lawsuit

Sleep equipment maintenance company SoClean Inc. convinced a federal judge in Pennsylvania to trim Koninklijke Philips NV‘s trademark dilution and consumer protection counterclaims in a case over whether SoClean deceptively advertised its products as safe when in fact they eroded Philips’ CPAP machines.

Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania on Tuesday dismissed those claims against SoClean, largely adopting a special master’s recommendation.
