SoCal Edison Sees Proposed Class Action Over Delayed Bills (1)

Edison International’s Southern California Edison faces a proposed class action from a customer who says the electric utility overcharged him for months of delay-billed payments after promising he’d only be charged for the most recent three months.

Plaintiff Lindsay Wellman allegedly was forced to pay more than $1,300 after not seeing an Edison bill for 15 months, according to a suit filed Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
