Snack Company Faces Allegations That Product Contains Lead

A proposed class of consumers said in a federal lawsuit Tuesday that LesserEvil LLC failed to disclose that one of its food products for toddlers contains excessive levels of lead.

LesserEvil failed to disclose on its packaging of its Lil’ Puffs kids snacks that they contain harmful levels of lead, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of Connecticut. The class says the health food brand, headquartered in Danbury, Conn., should pay them damages, restitution, and that they should receive class certification.
