Smithsonian Settles Suit Challenging Latino Internship (1)

The Smithsonian will not use racial or ethnic preferences in deciding who is selected for an internship with the cultural institution as part a program previously focused on Latino college students, according to a settlement agreement filed in federal court.

American Alliance for Equal Rights has also agreed to dismiss with prejudice AAER’s complaint against the Smithsonian, the parties also said in a Tuesday stipulation.
