Sleep Number Can’t Ditch Suit By Ex-Worker With Tremor Condition

Sleep Number failed to convince a federal court in Ohio to throw out a lawsuit brought by a former employee who said he was terminated because he has a tremor condition.

Doug McGonegle worked in sales at Select Comfort Retail Corp., known publicly as Sleep Number, and suffers from a condition called “essential tremor” that is characterized by involuntary shaking of hands. Sleep Number said he was fired for inappropriately offering a customer a “friends and family” offer, along with other violations.
