Skechers USA to Face Age Bias Trial in Older Sales Worker’s Suit

A jury must decide if Skechers U.S.A. Inc. fired a 61-year-old sales employee because of her age or her performance deficiencies, a Chicago federal judge ruled.

The company gave a different reason than performance deficiencies for getting rid of Anna Dragicevich in her termination papers—that her job was eliminated— which a jury could find was pretextual, the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said.
