Sixth Circuit Revives Claims Against Leech Tishman in Ponzi Suit

Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl LLC must face revived claims that it misrepresented funds on behalf of a fake solar farm-related Ponzi scheme to investors after the Sixth Circuit reinstated the claims.

The US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee incorrectly applied a statute of limitations on claims of fraud misrepresentation against law firm Leech Tishman and lawyer Brett Mankey, the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth District said in a ruling Friday. The district court also incorrectly dismissed negligence and negligent misrepresenation claims against the firm, the appellate court ruled.
