Conservative federal appeals court Judge Amul Thapar praised US Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ courage to continue applying the judicial philosophy of originalism despite criticism.
“He’s been called things from a cruel justice to a traitor to his race,” Thapar said at a Federalist Society event Wednesday in San Francisco. “He continues to do what he believes is right, no matter what anyone says, because he believes the oath compels it. Agree with him or not, you have to admire that.”
