Six Flags Fails to Avoid Website Data Tracker Lawsuit

Six Flags Entertainment Corp. must face allegations that it allows third-party cookies to track and collect data on consumers who visit its website, whether or not they opt out.

Plaintiff Miltita Casillas’ claims under Federal Wiretap Act and other laws survive dismissal because she sufficiently alleged Six Flags transmitted information including users’ search queries, browsing habits, and other personal information, Judge Consuelo B. Marshall of the US District Court for the Central District of California said in an order docketed Tuesday.
