Sikorsky, Feds Reach $70 Million Deal in Aircraft Parts Suit

Sikorsky Support Services Inc. and Derco Aerospace Inc. agreed to pay the US government $70 million to settle a False Claims Act suit alleging aircraft parts fraud.

The government alleged that the Lockheed Martin subsidiaries overcharged the US Navy for spare parts and materials needed to repair and maintain the primary aircraft used to train naval aviators, the DOJ’s June 21 announcement said. The parties reached a settlement in principle shortly before trial was scheduled to begin, according to a May 1 filing with the US District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
