Signal Accuses Rival Message Service of Trademark Infringement

Encrypted message service Signal says a competing company is infringing its trademarks to sell a similar messaging service.

Signal Technology Foundation, the parent company of the Signal service, filed a complaint in the US District Court for the Central District of California Tuesday against J2 Cloud Services LLC. The lawsuit alleges J2 is marketing its own encrypted messing service called “CONSENSUS SIGNAL.”
