Siemens Settlement Upheld in Wages Suit Despite Refusal to Sign

A settlement reached between Siemens Industry Inc. and a former employee can stand after a federal appeals court said the plaintiff is bound by her oral acceptance of it.

In a case that “smacks of buyer’s remorse,” Judge Gustavo A. Gelpí said Thursday that there isn’t a “valid reason for denying enforcement of a knowing and voluntary settlement.”
