Shriners Hospital Defeats Worker’s Covid-19 Vaccine Bias Lawsuit

Shriners Hospitals for Children prevailed in a lawsuit brought by an employee who was fired after her religious accommodation request was denied and she continued to refuse to get the Covid-19 vaccine.

The hospital’s evidence is sufficient to establish that exempting Margaret Gamon from getting vaccinated would pose on an undue hardship and put Shriners’ patients and staff at risk, Judge Karin J. Immergut of the US District Court for the District of Oregon said in a Tuesday order.
