Shopify Dodges California Worker’s Unlawful Competition Claim

Shopify (USA) Inc. is entitled to dismissal of a suit by a former commissioned sales employee, who claimed that he and his colleagues were misclassified by the company as “exempt” employees not entitled to overtime pay and other benefits, a federal court said.
