Shoals Technologies Group is suing a competing company for allegedly violating a patent on environmentally protected connectors for solar power.
Shoals, in a complaint filed at the US District Court for the Southern District of California, alleges that Hikam America and its parent company Hirakawa Hewtech sell wire harnesses and replacement in-line fuse kits that violate its patent on photovoltaic connectors, the ‘739 Patent.
Shoals says it uses the connectors patent in products that help lower the costs of solar installation.
