Sharetec’s $2.4 Million Data Breach Settlement Gets First Nod

Bradford-Scott Data agreed to pay nearly $2.4 million to settle litigation stemming from a data breach that may have compromised Social Security numbers and financial information.

The plaintiffs’ pact with Bradford-Scott—now doing business as Sharetec, a software provider for over 280 credit unions—was preliminarily approved by Judge Holly A. Brady of the US District Court for the Northern District of Indiana as being fair, reasonable, and adequate.
