Sex Bias Case With Taylor Swift-Quoting Judge Settled, Dismissed

An electric motor and power transmission manufacturer has settled with a former manager to end her lawsuit over claims that her sex and age played a role in her firing.

Linda Shaw and Regal-Beloit America Inc. filed a joint stipulation of dismissal Thursday with the US District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, which dismissed the case with prejudice the same day. The parties advised the court in February ahead of a scheduled jury trial that the case had settled, but no details were provided.
