The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority has settled a lawsuit with a Muslim employee who claimed the agency violated his religious rights by asking him to submit to drug testing during the fasting hours of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
It’s been reported that the issues between the parties have settled, said Magistrate Judge Carol Sandra Moore Wells for the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The magistrate judge dismissed the case with prejudice in an Aug. 22 order.
