Securitas Security Services USA Inc., and the guard who sued the company for pregnancy and disability discrimination, have agreed to the dismissal of her suit, one year after a federal judge sent it to arbitration.
Jessica Bristol, who was diagnosed with a high-risk pregnancy while working for Securitas, said her doctors advised her not to stand for prolonged periods of time. Bristol alleged her child was born prematurely and experienced significant health issues because the company refused to accommodate her request for a sitting post.
