The Securities and Exchange Commission defeated a longtime government attorney’s lawsuit alleging the agency retaliated and discriminated against her by denying her certain accommodations.
The attorney’s lawsuit doesn’t sufficiently set forth a failure to accommodate, or a lack of good faith on the part of the SEC that would support her discrimination claim under the Rehabilitation Act, Judge Gerald A. McHugh of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania ruled July 19. The SEC provided every accommodation the attorney requested except for her preferred method on certain programs offered for her use, McHugh said.
