Seaboard Marine Ltd. reached a deal in a case involving claims the company used property confiscated by the Cuban government when it was led by Fidel Castro.
The parties in the lawsuit reached “a settlement in principle,” said Judge Beth Bloom of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida on Monday. She ordered the case closed without prejudice. Earlier that day, the parties alerted Bloom they had made a deal after meeting with a mediator.
