Individual officials of a Southern California school district sued by ex-NFL player Chris Kluwe in their official capacities can face claims for prospective injunctive relief, a federal judge said in modifying an earlier ruling.
Judge Fred W. Slaughter, of the US District Court for the Central District of California, had previously dismissed the official-capacity claims against the individual defendants. But, in a Jan. 7 order partially granting Kluwe’s motion for reconsideration Slaughter tweaked his prior ruling regarding the Huntington Beach Union High School District officials.
