Artificial intelligence companies Scale AI Inc., Outlier AI Inc., and HireArt Inc. got hit with a lawsuit alleging they violated federal and state laws by terminating more than 500 workers without the required 60-day advance notice.
The companies—which are in the business of providing software creation services for large clients including the US government, Microsoft, and Meta—allegedly violated the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act and its California equivalent, according to the lawsuit filed Sunday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
