Sanofi-Aventis US LLC was unable to convince a federal judge that cancer patients lacked any admissible expert testimony that could show the company’s chemotherapy drug Taxotere caused eye injuries.
Sanofi asked the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana to grant summary judgment because the plaintiffs’ expert testimony should be excluded. While the court excluded part of one expert’s testimony, Judge Jane Triche Milazzo denied summary judgment Thursday.
