Sandia’s Removal of Christian Group From Resource List Upheld

National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia LLC isn’t liable for discriminating against a Christian group it dropped from its list of employer-sponsored employee resource groups, a federal court said.

Christians in the Workplace Networking Group’s governing documents prevent non-Christians from holding leadership positions. After Sandia adopted a policy that prohibited discrimination on the basis of religion, it asked that CWNG’s leadership requirement be changed. After negotiations failed, Sandia dropped CWNG from its ERG list.
