San Francisco said in a lawsuit Friday that the Department of Energy has implemented new, illegal funding conditions that threaten to cut $130,000 in clean energy infrastructure grants awarded to the city.
The complaint filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California said the new grant terms are based on compliance with President Donald Trump’s anti-diversity, equity, and inclusion executive orders, which force the city into an impossible decision.
