San Francisco’s school district is suing AmeriCorps over its announcement that grant recipients can only use funds if they agree to implement what the suit called President Donald Trump’s “anti-equity, anti-LGBTQ+, and anti-environmental policy preferences” in its programs.
The federal agency committed an “about-face” last month, after the school district had committed to DEI principles in its grant applications, according to the suit filed Monday with the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
