San Antonio Concedes Defeat to Texas on Abortion Travel Costs

The city of San Antonio will no longer seek a court’s approval to distribute $100,000 to fund travel costs for out-of-state abortions, instead conceding the fight to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R).

On Thursday, the statewide appeals court dismissed the politically fraught case after San Antonio said a state law that took effect last month meant it could no longer could prevail.
