Samsung Range Suit Dismissed Over Skimpy Defect Allegations

Samsung Electronics America Inc. won dismissal of a proposed class suit alleging certain ranges have a flawed temperature sensor, following a Friday ruling that the consumers weren’t specific enough about the alleged defect.

Kathy Wesley, Jo Peacock, Alesia Charles, and Joseph D’Andrea sued in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey, alleging their ovens or stovetops didn’t maintain their set temperature and repairs didn’t take care of the problem.
