Samsung Drops Cellphone Chips Antitrust Suit Against Broadcom

Samsung Electronics Co. agreed to end a federal antitrust lawsuit alleging its cellphone chips supplier Broadcom Inc. prevented the Korean phone maker from switching to other suppliers.

Samsung voluntarily dismissed its suit on Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.

The two companies said in a joint statement that they are “pleased to have resolved all litigation” but provided no information about the terms of a settlement.
