Sammy Hagar Affiliate Sues LA Cabo Wabo Cantina Over Trademark

Red Head Inc., a company affiliated with rock musician Sammy Hagar, has accused the Los Angeles Cabo Wabo location of trademark infringement because the restaurant opened after their licensing agreement expired in 2022.

Hagar opened the first Cabo Wabo in Mexico in 1990 and continued opening other locations since, according to Red Head’s complaint. Cabo Wabo trademarks have been federally registered for more than 15 years, it says.
