Five plaintiffs dropped their proposed class action alleging the Salvation Army failed to protect the personal information of hundreds of thousands of employees and volunteers that was exposed in a May data breach.
Judge Rossie D. Alston Jr. of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia granted the plaintiffs’ request for dismissal of the suit in an Aug. 13 order.
