Safe Streets USA LLC and a worker who says the company failed to pay proper overtime or reimburse expenses must revise their nearly $1.5 million settlement after a federal judge in California identified problems with the current version.
The court lacks jurisdiction to approve part of the deal because the Fair Labor Standards Act collective and state-law class claims it purportedly settles are moot, the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said.
