Saber Healthcare Must Defend Employees’ Bias Suit in Court

Saber Healthcare Grp. lost a bid to compel arbitration of a nursing assistant’s lawsuit alleging sex bias, harassment and hostile work environment.

The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, alleges she was sexually assaulted by a resident, and that her supervisor laughed at her when she reported the incident. Doe also alleges that her supervisor told her she didn’t “believe in gay marriage,” when she learned Doe, who is gay, is married.

Doe says she was effectively fired after she complained to the administrator about her mistreatment at the facility.
