RTX Corp. won its bid to toss a shareholder suit alleging it misled investors about quality control issues that led to a recall of hundreds of engines manufactured by its Pratt & Whitney subsidiary.
The shareholders alleged “no facts” demonstrating the company or its executives were aware of the “‘systemic’ nature” of a manufacturing defect before it was disclosed to investors, Judge Victor A. Bolden of the US District Court for the District of Connecticut said in a Sept. 12 order dismissing the case with prejudice.
